Hello, friends! Sweat Girls are performing a new show at
Total Eclipse of the Sweat
Join the Sweat Girls at Fillet of Solo for tales of heartache, hope and hilarity: Hospital work brings Cindy unexpected surprises, from fatigue to fulfillment and a magical badge. Clare rummages through the past, and one or two memories evoke an involuntary whack to the right. Pamela is managing pain and making deals with God. Martie goes to Witch School. Dorothy remembers the Me Generation — and an incorrigible fish.
With 24 years of shared history, the Sweat Girls have been called "the undisputed tribal elders" of the solo performance scene (Chicago Reader, 2014). Known for their "contagious gusto," the Sweats are glad to represent the greying edge of Chicago's flourishing Live Lit community.
Running as part of Lifeline Theatre's Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, Total Eclipse of the Sweat is written and performed by the Sweat Girls.
