Announcing our brand-new show:
With performances September 26 – October 12
ABOUT THE SHOW: Party time! Jello shots? Fine. Disco? We promise you a ball! Strippers? Listen, we've been baring our souls for over two decades and we make it look easy. Our party lasts THREE WEEKS! We'll celebrate senior discounts, find our inner tweens, go hunting for Joan Baez (in all the wrong places) and try to figure out if we actually are the brunt of teenage jokes. Whether you've been our devoted follower since I'm Sweating Under My Breasts (1993) or you're a Sweat virgin ... come sweat with us. And have some cake!
This year the Reader called the Sweat Girls the "undisputed tribal elders" of the solo performance scene. Come see why other critics claim we have "fearless authenticity" and "contagious gusto," that we're "brutally honest and dazzlingly hilarious." We are the Sweat Girls, and we've been bringing it for 21 years!
ENSEMBLE: The Sweat Girls Are ... 21 and Finally Legal! is written and performed by Caroline Andres, Cindy Hanson, Dorothy Milne, Clare Nolan, Martie Sanders, and Pamela Webster.
WHERE: The Heartland Studio Theatre, 7016 N. Glenwood Ave, Chicago, 60626
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING: The theatre is located in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, in the Glenwood Avenue Arts District, steps from the Morse Red Line CTA stop. Free parking is available at the Lifeline parking lot, west of the theatres (NE corner of Morse and Ravenswood) with free shuttle service before and after the shows. Street parking is also available.
